End of Season could not have worked any better!
What a way to finish off the season. A win against the Penguins pushed them into the sixth seed where they will be playing the Washington Capitals who has a worse record then the Flyers. Something is on our side and to finish off the season with two shutouts is a great way to enter the playoffs.
The playoffs start Friday for the Flyers against the Capitals. The one thing is they have Ovechkin and he is the best player in the NHL right now.

Win or be in serious trouble
If the Flyers win their last two games they make the playoffs, simple as that. If they lose both their done. If they lose one their destiny is out of their hands. So the cards are laid out before them and they must play the hell out of the hand they are dealt.
Good news is both games are at home, bad news is they are against New Jersey and Pittsburgh

At Pittsburgh tonight
They really need to get some points out of tonights game, they have very little room for error.

Three games left
They will all be tough games, one at Pittsburgh, two at home. One against Pittsburgh and the Devils. Three wins to close out the season could put them in fourth. The can finish any where from fourth through eighth or even not making it at all. These are must win games.
Friday, March 28, 2008
Going to Jersey
Right now they are in the last playoff spot, a win tonight puts them one point behind the Devils and the fifth seed. Wow, this is a close one. Anyone one of the seed 4-8 could finish 4-8 or even see themselves outside of the playoffs and home playing golf, which makes every one of these last five games must wins. Go Flyers, go up to Jersey tonight and give them hell.

Best Fight Ever?
Nice fight but I'm not so sure, what about Berube or any of the 70's Broad Street Bullies era?
Friday, March 21, 2008
Rangers tonight
Flyers play the Rangers tonight in a must needed win for the Flyers. The Flyers are only one point ahead of the Sabres for the last spot in the playoffs and are 5 points behind the Rangers. This is a major game and they need to step it up tonight.

Flyers vs. Thrashers 03-18-2008
Nice win yesterday, they have no room for error and need to play at the highest level for the last ten games to keep hope alive for the playoffs.
Thursday, March 13, 2008
Last night's low lights.
They are not doing themselves any favors. However they are only a point behind the Bruins for
seventh but the Bruins have one extra game to play. Regardless, I am not very optimistic of their chances in the playoffs even if they do make it in. They are playing really poorly as of late and while that may be because of injuries they still have to lace them up.
Wednesday, March 12, 2008
That was a bad loss last night
I don't care that they still walked away with a point, they were up 3-0 and not only let them come back to tie, the Maple Leafs pulled their goalie with a minte to play in a tie game and could do nothing about it. They eventually lost in overtime. This puts a bad taste in my mouth. They are tsill hanging tough in that 8th spot but games like this don't make me very confident for the playoffs. They better come back strong tonight against the Leafs.

Ron Hextall Tribute
The Flyers take on the maple Leafs in the first game of a home and home. This one is in Toronto. The Flyers who are on the brink of not making the playoffs, need wins in a major way.
While we're wating for tonight's game lets take a look at a cool Hextall tribute video.

Nice convincing win against the Islanders on Saturday, check out the highlights.

Highlights of last nights game against Tampa Bay
Nice rebound win, I just hope they can stop giving up early goals and having to comeback for wins. Next game is against the Islander's on Saturday. The good news is they're only seven points out of first. Bad news is they are in eighth.

Eric Lindros - A look back
Where did it go wrong?
Tuesday, March 4, 2008
After that horrible losing streak the Flyers have earned a point in 5 consecutive games and six out of seven. Too bad they lost three of those six in either overtime or shootout. Can they keep the streak alive tonight against the Buffalo Sabres who are nipping at their heals for the last and final spot, the eights seed of the playoffs?
Check it out tonight at 7 eastern. The game is on versus, whatever channel that is. I'm going to see if I can catch the game.
Thursday, February 28, 2008
Senators tonight!
The Flyers face off against the Ottawa Senators in Philly tonight. Puck drops at 7. Let's hope they can start a new streak as of tonight, a winning streak!

Finally
Nice job boys for not giving up, especiall yafter being down 3-0 in the first period. Hopefully they have weathered the storm.

Flyers lose again in overtime, but gain a point.
You know things are bad when you are winning a 1-0 game and you let the other team score with less than 4 seconds remaining in the game and then lose it in overtime. To make things worse All-Star Mike Richards is out for the next 3 weeks with a torn hamstring.
The good news is with a win tonight against the Sabres, the Flyers will be back in the playoff picture in the eight seed, leapfrogging the Sabres. The other good news is, IMO this is the worst it can get and it can only get better from here. Right?

They better turn this around fast
They are now outside of the playoffs looking in. How did they revert back to last season all of a sudden. can someone please tell me what is going on? Next games is Saturday against Florida.
Here's some action from last night's game.
Thursday, February 21, 2008
San Jose tonight
They need to turn it around fast and the news isn't getting any better. Simon Gagne is done for the rest of the year due to post concussion symptoms. The good news is that this is a young Flyers team so anything can happen and the future does look bright. I don't want to make that sound like I'm throwing in the towel this year, I'm just trying to be optimistic.
Lets kick some Shark butt tonight!

They lose again
At least this time they gained a point by virtue of a tie and losing in the shootout. The Senators scored the first two goals of the game, and the Flyers scored the second two, one of which was a shorthanded goal by Kimmo Timonen.
Next game is Thursday against The San Jose Sharks. When are the Flyers going to play in San Jose so I can see a game? It's been like forever since they've been out in the Bay Area.
Tuesday, February 19, 2008
Flyers Vs. Senators Tonight
C'mon guys, we need to get off the shnide. Has it been that they've been playing down to their competition who as of late has not been the best in the league? Can they play up to their competition tonight? A long time hated Ottowa Senators team.
C'mon guys, show them who's boss!
Monday, February 18, 2008
Losing streak continues
What the f*** is going on? Seven in a row. Since there haven't been many highlights in the past few weeks and I appreciate all things hockey check out this sick goal against the Flyers.
Next game is Tuesday against the Senators.

Flyers take on Lightning Highlights
5 losses in a row. What is going on?
Highlights of last nights game against the Lightning.
Next game is against the Canadians on Saturday, actually the next two games are against Montreal in a home and home.

Flyers take on Lightning
Highlights from the game the other night against the Islanders.
They take on the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight, can they stop their skid? I hope so.
Wednesday, February 13, 2008
Flyers lose again
What's going on? A third loss in a row this time to the stinkin Islanders.
They need to turn things around fast, in a very close Eastern conference they currently have the sixth seed if the playoffs started today and would be playing the Carolina Hurricanes. If they don't watch out and keep this up they could find themselves on the outside looking in. I don't get to watch any games because I live in CA. Does anyone know whats going on?
Tuesday, February 12, 2008
Islanders Tonight!
C'mon guys, lets get back on track and whup some Long Island ass!
Like this.
Monday, February 11, 2008
Flyers lose two in a row
A tough weekend for the Flyers, getting shutout for the second time in a row against the hated rival Rangers and then losing yesterday to the Penguins. They now slip into third place, a poiunt behind the Devils with a game in hand and four points behind the Penguins with a game in hand.
Lets see the highlights from yesterday's game against the Penguins.
The next game is tomorrow, Tuesday the 12th against the New York Islanders. They need to rebound big time in this one.
Thursday, February 7, 2008
Tough loss last night
After being down 4-1 with about 12 minutes left in the game, the Flyers staged a last minute comeback getting one goal away with less then a minute to play but that was all they had. At least they didn't give up, they fought until the end so they can at least be proud of themselves for that.
They also scored 2 more power play goals to keep their lead on the league with the man advantadge.

Flyers Fights
I'm still waiting to find highlights of last nights victory over the Atlanta Thrashers. Until then lets see some fights!
Highlights from last nights game.
The boys take on the Capitals tonight, lets keep that momentum going! Lets kick some ass, on the scoreboard and more!
Tuesday, February 5, 2008
Flyers going for two in a row
tonight against the Atlanta Thrashers. The game is in Atlanta. The Flyers have a 1-0lead going into the second period. The Flyers goal cam from Mike Knuble on the power play. I didn't realize this because I don't get to watch too many Flyers games living in California but the Flyers have the second best power play in terms of percentage but in terms of goals scored they are tops in the league. That's pretty sweet.
Good news, they pulled out the big W with a 3-2 win over Atlanta. They got the win with another strong outing on their power play in which two of the three goals were scored with a man advantage.
Highlights of this game to come.
Monday, February 4, 2008
Flyers rebound against the Duck's
A nice win on Saturday against the Ducks. After getting beaten down by the hated Rangers 4-0, they turn it around and beat the Ducks 3-0 to kepp their first place record intact. Riley Cote did get his ass handed to him, but no worries, what did the scoreboard say?
Friday, February 1, 2008
Highlights from last nights game
Or should I say lowlights since they got crushed 4-0? At least they're still in first. Lets hope they rebound on Saturday against the Mighty Ducs
Thursday, January 31, 2008
Fly guys take on the Rangers tonight!
Keep it up boys. I wann see a lot of this against those hated Rangers, we have first place lets keep it that way.
Wednesday, January 30, 2008
Nice way to start the second half
A hard fought battle that made its way into overtime where our boys finally put the game away and beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-2, no tie here. With the win and a Devils lost the Flyers have seized control of first place all by their lonesome with a game in hand. Keep it up guys.
Next game isn't until Thursday when they take on the hated New York Rangers, lets keep up the intensity and skate them right out of the building.
Monday, January 28, 2008
Highlights of the 2008 All-star game
Mike Richards netted an assist for the only Flyers point in the All-Star game. I didn't get a chance to watch the game but it looked exciting from the highlights. Did you miss it also?
Here's the highlights:
Eric Staal was named MVP
I also missed the skills challenge which I was bummed about. Out of all sports this one is my favorite.
Now lets get ready for the second half of the season, to start it off, our boys are in first, lets keep it up.
Friday, January 25, 2008
First Place baby!
From worst to first. Last year they were the worst team in the NHL. Today they are tied with the hated New Jersey Devils for first place in the Atlantic Division with one game in hand. What has made for such a quick turn around? The have gotten back to their roots. Broadstreet Bullies all the way!

A little Rocky to get you pumped
I don't know what it is I'm in a Rocky mood today, maybe its in anticipation of Rambo tomorrow? I can't wait. I don't expect much but I still think it will be entertaining.
When I was a little boy I used to run around the house singing this song. I have to find the tape and when I do, I will try and post it.
Lets hope they rebound from that lousy showing against the Devils and destroy the Penguins tonight.

I need some inspiration
So it looks like they failed a major test tonight against the hated Devils so I have to go back to the fault 34 years.
Amazing this still gives me goose bumps.
Kate Smith gives an incredible performance of God Bless America before the 6th game of the 1974 Stanley Cup Finals in Philadelphia. The Flyers were almost unbeatable when this song was played before games. And with Kate Smith there in person, the Bruins had no chance. Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito show her great respect and shake her hand after the stiring performance.

A fan fights Tie Domi, big mistake
This was a couple of years ago, this stuff only happens in Philly. You got to love it. This guy is in for a heap of trouble, Tie Domi is a bad ass.

Lighting strikes once, Hextall twice
The first goalie to ever score a goal in a game. I know he had at least two maybe three, but I can't remember. Anyone?

Bobby Clarke a Broadstreet Bully for life
It appears as if the Flyers are returning to the glory days of the mid 70's when they were known as the hated Broad Street Bullies. Broad Street is the name of the street the stadium is located at. Every team in the league was terrified to play them. They beat you every way you could possibly think of including physically scarring the crap out of every opponent they faced. Besides being physical brutes they could play some hockey, they hold a record in professional sports for most games played without a loss at 35 games. that's mighty impressive.
While last season the Flyers were the worst team in the league, they are doing much better this season and part of that may be do to them playing like bullies. A little dirty at times but hey sometimes that's the way hockey is played. In a slew of incidents this year for some cheap shots the latest happening against the Toronto Maple Leafs, a Flyer sucker punched another player.
What did Bob Clarke VP of the team and former Broad Street Bully have to say about it?
He loved it!
Bobby Clarke is a Broad Street Bully for life.

Favorite Flyers moment, Hextall jumps Chelios
I completely remember this one like it was yesterday. It was the end of the playoffs for my Flyers as they lost in six games to the Montreal Canadiens. Earlier in the series, Chelios took a cheap shot at one of the Flyer, I can't remember who at this time, but the guy got really injured. So at the end of this game Chelios was taunting Hextall and he took it upon himself to show Chelios what what. I love this.
Hextall got like a 12 game suspension to start the next season. It was totally worth it!
