Flyers lose again in overtime, but gain a point.
You know things are bad when you are winning a 1-0 game and you let the other team score with less than 4 seconds remaining in the game and then lose it in overtime. To make things worse All-Star Mike Richards is out for the next 3 weeks with a torn hamstring.
The good news is with a win tonight against the Sabres, the Flyers will be back in the playoff picture in the eight seed, leapfrogging the Sabres. The other good news is, IMO this is the worst it can get and it can only get better from here. Right?

They better turn this around fast
They are now outside of the playoffs looking in. How did they revert back to last season all of a sudden. can someone please tell me what is going on? Next games is Saturday against Florida.
Here's some action from last night's game.

San Jose tonight
They need to turn it around fast and the news isn't getting any better. Simon Gagne is done for the rest of the year due to post concussion symptoms. The good news is that this is a young Flyers team so anything can happen and the future does look bright. I don't want to make that sound like I'm throwing in the towel this year, I'm just trying to be optimistic.
Lets kick some Shark butt tonight!

They lose again
At least this time they gained a point by virtue of a tie and losing in the shootout. The Senators scored the first two goals of the game, and the Flyers scored the second two, one of which was a shorthanded goal by Kimmo Timonen.
Next game is Thursday against The San Jose Sharks. When are the Flyers going to play in San Jose so I can see a game? It's been like forever since they've been out in the Bay Area.

Flyers Vs. Senators Tonight
C'mon guys, we need to get off the shnide. Has it been that they've been playing down to their competition who as of late has not been the best in the league? Can they play up to their competition tonight? A long time hated Ottowa Senators team.
C'mon guys, show them who's boss!

Flyers lose again
What's going on? A third loss in a row this time to the stinkin Islanders.
They need to turn things around fast, in a very close Eastern conference they currently have the sixth seed if the playoffs started today and would be playing the Carolina Hurricanes. If they don't watch out and keep this up they could find themselves on the outside looking in. I don't get to watch any games because I live in CA. Does anyone know whats going on?

Flyers lose two in a row
A tough weekend for the Flyers, getting shutout for the second time in a row against the hated rival Rangers and then losing yesterday to the Penguins. They now slip into third place, a poiunt behind the Devils with a game in hand and four points behind the Penguins with a game in hand.
Lets see the highlights from yesterday's game against the Penguins.
The next game is tomorrow, Tuesday the 12th against the New York Islanders. They need to rebound big time in this one.

Tough loss last night
After being down 4-1 with about 12 minutes left in the game, the Flyers staged a last minute comeback getting one goal away with less then a minute to play but that was all they had. At least they didn't give up, they fought until the end so they can at least be proud of themselves for that.
They also scored 2 more power play goals to keep their lead on the league with the man advantadge.

Flyers going for two in a row
tonight against the Atlanta Thrashers. The game is in Atlanta. The Flyers have a 1-0lead going into the second period. The Flyers goal cam from Mike Knuble on the power play. I didn't realize this because I don't get to watch too many Flyers games living in California but the Flyers have the second best power play in terms of percentage but in terms of goals scored they are tops in the league. That's pretty sweet.
Good news, they pulled out the big W with a 3-2 win over Atlanta. They got the win with another strong outing on their power play in which two of the three goals were scored with a man advantage.
Highlights of this game to come.

Flyers rebound against the Duck's
A nice win on Saturday against the Ducks. After getting beaten down by the hated Rangers 4-0, they turn it around and beat the Ducks 3-0 to kepp their first place record intact. Riley Cote did get his ass handed to him, but no worries, what did the scoreboard say?

Highlights from last nights game
Or should I say lowlights since they got crushed 4-0? At least they're still in first. Lets hope they rebound on Saturday against the Mighty Ducs
